CHERY V23 Earns 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Safety Rating, Affirming Global Safety Standards

CHERY, a global automotive leader focused on developing technology and innovation for a superior driving experience, has announced that the V23 model has achieved the highest 5-star safety rating from the ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries). This certification provides ultimate confidence in safety for both drivers and passengers.
The Chery V23 is the first "Boxy Style" vehicle to secure a top safety rating, earning a total score of 91.02 points. This success reflects significant advancements in safety technology and product quality. The evaluation results are categorized into four key areas:
Adult Occupant Protection (AOP): 39.71 points Tests on structural integrity during both frontal and side impacts showed that the cabin remained stable and effectively protected the occupants' chest area.
Child Occupant Protection (COP): 16.67 points Evaluations using 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies demonstrated excellent protection for young passengers in both frontal and side-impact scenarios.
Safety Assist (SA): 17.14 points The V23 comes standard with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB City and AEB Inter-Urban) across all variants. Tests confirmed the system performs effectively in various speed ranges and scenarios, such as approaching stationary or moving vehicles.
Motorcyclist Safety (MS): 17.50 points The Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system, standard in all models, was verified to function according to ASEAN NCAP requirements on both the left and right sides of the vehicle to protect surrounding motorcyclists.

These models achieved a total score of 94.68 points, earning 5-star ratings from both ANCAP (Australasian NCAP) and EURO NCAP. These achievements highlight Chery’s genuine commitment to advancing global safety technology.
